Well-constructed, but not the most comfortable shoes
From luther of chicago, Illinois on .
I've been wearing these daily for about a month. So far I have no complaints about the quality. The soles are a good hardness so they don't feel like they'll wear out immediately. I waterproofed them with some camping gear stuff to protect the cork.
They seem to be patterned roughly after the Adidas Samba. They don't have much arch support, and the heel gets uncomfortable on long walks (I walked about 4 miles on them one day last week). I'd say on a scale from 1 to 10, if Chucks are a 2 in insole comfort and running shoes are a 10, these are a 3 or 4. Disclaimer: my feet pronate a lot when I walk and I'm probably pickier than most about having support.
I'd probably give 3.5 stars if that was an option. They look great but I'm not sure if I'd buy them again because of the comfort issue.
Poor Quality
From Anonymous of Berlin, Germany on .
These shoes are comfortable, but not at all worth getting. After a couple of months the sole started coming apart from the cork coated cloth and could not be properly repaired. They now have gaping holes in the sides and the cork is flaking off. For this price I would expect excellent quality and these just don't cut it.
