Salty and green
From ceejay of Royse City, Texas on .
I really wanted to like this and attempted making it several times, trying different approaches with water, then milk, then adding olive oil, but it was just so salty each time, and turned a really gross brownish green that just made me sad. I finally threw it away after my last attempt. I had been hoping for a creamy white gravy to eat with my biscuits. I'll have to keep looking.

As a Vegan, one of the dishes I have really missed is cream gravy. I am so glad to have found this one. Even when i was a carnivore, I think this gravy would have fooled me.

I bought this stuff because I was raised in the South on biscuits and gravy and was seriously jonesing... I have tried making it several ways, the best is with soy milk and some Earth Balance, over medium heat, put any more heat under it and it turns gelatinous and really gross. Using water makes it very runny and makes the flavor very weak. If you’re only making it for yourself or two people definitely don’t follow the directions on the bottle, it makes a TON of gravy. Absorbs really well into vegan biscuits for a yummy breakfast. I have used it on potatoes before, but to me it’s not seasoned enough for potato gravy.
