Shipping Policy

1. Most orders are shipped within 24 hours from
the time they are received (exceptions are weekends and holidays.)
If an order will be delayed by more than 3 working days we will
notify you via phone or email.
2. Orders inside the continental USA are
automatically shipped via UPS. Average delivery time is 2-5 days
inside the USA, depending on how close you are to Wisconsin.
Regarding UPS 2nd Day Air orders: If an item is
out of stock we will call or write to notify you immediately of
this situation. If you have ordered multiple products and some are
on backorder, we will ship what is in stock via 2nd Day Air and
send the remaining items via UPS Ground when they are in stock
again (we cover the cost of the second shipment.) If your order is
more than 5 lbs additional shipping charges may apply beyond the
standard rates.
3. We can ship via US Postal Service inside the
USA by special request, but our standard shipping rates do not
apply. We will charge you the exact cost of shipping via Priority
Mail or 1st Class Mail, whichever is most cost-effective. If you
request for an order to be sent via USPS instead of UPS, please
note that we cannot be held responsible if the package is lost or
damaged before it reaches you. All orders to PO Box addresses or
shipments requested to be sent by USPS Mail are done so at your
risk, so please use UPS shipping whenever possible. If you want to
insure your package, please let us know at the time of your order.
Additional charges will apply.
4. All orders outside the continental USA are
mailed via USPS Air Mail. As noted in our FAQ section (see upper
right), shipping charges will be determined by final order weight
and applied once the order is ready to ship. Customer assumes all
shipping costs for order (exact ship cost plus US $1.00 for
international credit card processing fees) and this will be shown
when your order ship confirmation is sent out. All orders will have
shipping added to them with no exceptions. Average delivery time is
between 6-12 business days. Please note that all orders being
shipped outside the USA are ordered at your own risk as we do not
have tracking or insurance available for shipping outside the USA,
and once it is sent we cannot track it or replace any orders that
are lost or damaged. It is extremely rare that a package is lost
when shipped internationally (they are usually returned to us due
to customs or delivery issues), however, this is still a risk and
by ordering outside the USA, you accept this risk as we cannot
replace any missing orders, nor can we refund you for orders that
do not arrive.
5. For APO and Alaska/Hawaii orders, we ship via
USPS Air Mail. Shipping charges are based on the actual weight of
the order- we charge what the Post Office charges us. When you
complete your order, you will see a ship total of $0.00 - this does
not mean that the shipping charges are free, but that we will
determine the actual costs and apply them to your order once it is
packed and weighed. If you need to know your ship costs before the
order is sent, please note this in the messages/comments area of
the order form. Otherwise, all orders will be shipped as they are
received without notification for approval.
6. Orders being sent outside the USA may be
subject to import duties - this is determined by your country's
postal service. Orders refused due to customs charges will be
credited for the product costs, but not the original shipping fees.
Several countries have restrictions on importing specific vitamins
and supplements - we cannot know the details for all countries, so
we ask that you check with the proper sources at your
customs/imports office before placing an order. We cannot be held
responsible for shipments that are rejected and returned to us.
7. If you wish to cancel your order, please do so
immediately. If you cancel after your order has shipped, you are
responsible for the original shipping charges. International orders
that are shipped before cancellation will not be refunded until the
order is returned to us with all items intact, and original ship
costs will not be refunded on orders sent outside the USA as
well.
8. We STRONGLY recommend viewing your confirmation
email that is sent once you place your order, so that you may
verify your shipping address and item selection details. If you do
not supply the correct address at the time of ordering and we ship
the order before you have contacted us with a correction, there
will be a US $10 charge to have the order re-routed to your correct
address (this is what UPS charges us to have a package delivery
address changed, and we cannot abosrb that cost.) If you are
shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or any country other than the USA, we
unfortunately have no way to stop the order once it has been sent,
and we are at the mercy of the postal service to eventually get the
shipment routed back to us. This can take a few weeks (packages
inside the USA) or months (packages sent outside the USA), and the
time for it to be returned is something we cannot control
[providing that it is not lost in the process of being returned or
left at the address you supplied and taken in by the new tenants].
This is why we urge you to verify your address in the confirmation
email - if you have a package sent to an address that you did not
intend, we are not responsible for costs to have it re-routed (when
possible), and for orders outside the continental USA, we cannot
replace or refund you for this order until the items are returned
to us. If it is returned to us, we can either refund you for any
items that we are able to restock and re-sell, or, if you would
like to pay the shipping cost again we can re-send the order to you
at the correct address.

We are happy to offer a 30-day return policy on most items (please
see exceptions below.) Simply mail the products you would like to
return back to us with a note explaining the reason for return. We
will refund your money via charge or Paypal, depending on how you
paid for your order. You are responsible for the shipping charges
to ship back to us. If you would like to exchange an item, please
send it back to us with a note detailing what you would like to
exchange the product for. Your first exchange will be sent free of
charge for the first replacement (inside the USA only - customers
outside the USA will be responsible for the cost of shipping on all
exchanges), and any subsequent returns or exchanges will be paid
for at the customer's expense. If you exchange an item for one of
higher value, we will use your credit card on file and apply an
additional charges. Please note that original shipping charges are
not refunded when full orders are returned.
Please note products that have special circumstances for
returns:
-Shoes must be sent back in new, resellable condition and in their
original box. If shoes are not returned in proper condition, credit
or exchange cannot be given, and shoes will be sent back to you.
Reasons shoes will be returned are- marks, scratches, wear on
uppers or soles, dirt in soles or excessive animal hair. We suggest
trying your shoes on indoors, preferably on carpeting, to reduce
any scuffing or noticeable wear.
- Vitamins, Supplements, Body Care, Personal Care, Facial Care and
Cosmetics are not returnable, unless you are sent the incorrect
item by our error, which must be confired by our checking your
original order details to show that a mistake was made. In this
case where we have made a shipping error, we will send you a
postage-paid return label for the incorrect item to be returned to
us and we will then send the correct product as well.
- Food items (both for humans and animals) cannot be returned due
to their sensitive nature, unless you are sent an expired or
incorrect item. If this is the case, we will send you a
postage-paid return label for the mis-sent item to be returned to
us and we will then send the correct product. We are happy to offer
recommendations and opinions on specific food items, so please feel
free to contact us for more information before you purchase!
- Clothing (t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, etc.) cannot be sent back
if they have been washed, cleaned, or have visible wear. If there
is a variance, items will be sent back to you and no credit will be
issued.
-Sale and clearance items that clearly indicate "no returns" are
not eligible for refunds or store credits. Items that are sent back
to us beyond the 30 day period and have since been discontinued are
not eligible for return or store credit.
-Custom or special orders are not eligible for credit or exchange.

It’s finally here! The long-awaited
super-melting vegan cheese from Canada is now available in the USA,
and it’s well worth the wait. Finely shredded, Daiya doesn’t make a
big mess from having to grate it yourself, and not only does it
melt perfectly, it stretches, too, unlike other vegan cheeses. Not
only does it have unmatched melting ability and an incredible
flavor, it’s also free of soy, gluten, and nuts, making it safe for
many who suffer from allergies to these ingredients. Create perfect
pizzas, gooey grilled cheese sandwiches, top off your tempting
tacos and anything else you can imagine – with Daiya vegan cheese
shreds, there’s no limit to what you can create! Daiya cheese is
available in two flavors – Mozzarella and Cheddar, and is available
in two sizes - ½ lb. (8 oz.) packages are $4.99 each, and 5 lb.
bulk bags are $39.95 each (a savings of $9.95 when you buy in
bulk!)
** NOTE ** - While the new packaging gives much more time
to the shelf life when unopened, Daiya cheese has a short
shelf-life once the package is opened. We strongly suggest using
all your cheese within 10 days of opening it, and if this is not
possible, freeze any remaining cheese and thaw when you need it.
Daiya cheese can be frozen and thawed once without sacrificing the
flavor or texture of this product, but only thaw what you plan on
using so that you do not waste any cheese by thawing more than you
need!
Manufacturer’s Suggested Baking Use:
Pizza Volumes: It is important to use the optimum
amounts of Daiya on pizza for best performance. Below are optimum
recommendations resulting from performance tests in mass market
pizza franchises throughout North America. 10 inch=110 grams (4oz);
12 inch=160 grams (5.5 oz); 14 inch=220 grams (8 oz); 16 inch=280
grams (10 oz); 18 inch=358 grams (1.5 oz)
Baking with Daiya: Use Daiya as you would regular
cheese. For best results (as a topping such as the top layer of a
lasagna) add Daiya in the last 5 - 10 minutes (depending on
temperature) when baking. This will yield smooth melting properties
without excessive browning. Tip: Try adding Daiya at the very end
after baking is finished, by sprinkling a shredded layer on top of
oven-hot food and covering for a few minutes. This preserves the
most nutrients and maintains optimum resilience.
Microwave: Daiya works great in the microwave in
tortillas, burritos and whatever you normally would cook with
cheese in the microwave. Be careful not to overcook Daiya as like
dairy based cheese, it will become tough.

1. This item is perishable and should
be shipped with a Cold Bag or Cold Box Shipper (see below for
options to add) and shipped via 2nd Day Air to ensure maximum
freshness (unless you are within a 2 day ship time from Wisconsin.)
The following states can be shipped via UPS Ground to arrive within
2 days: WI, IL, MN, IN, MI, IA, MO, OH, KY, TN, WV, NE, KS
(eastern half of state), GA (northern half of state), ND (eastern
half of state), PA (western half of state), and NY (western half of
state.) If you do not live in one of the abovementioned
states, we strongly urge you to choose 2nd Day Air for your
shipping option. We cannot guarantee freshness or replace
perishable items if the shipping time is longer than 2 days and if
a Cold Bag or Shipper is not included.
2. Orders with a Cold Bag or Shipper are shipped
Monday through Wednesday – all orders placed after 12:00 pm on
Wednesday will be held for shipment until the following Monday to
ensure that they are not left in a UPS facility over the
weekend.
3. We do not recommend shipping to PO Box
addresses unless you are in one of the states listed above that are
within a 2-day shipping time. If you do ship to a PO Box, we
strongly recommend checking daily for delivery as we cannot replace
items left at your box too long that have become inedible.
4. This item should only be shipped inside the
USA, as delivery outside the USA normally takes too long to ensure
proper freshness. If you wish to ship this item outside the USA,
please email us at questions@veganessentials.com to discuss
expedited shipping options. Any orders for this item sent outside
the USA are done so at your own risk, and by checking the box at
top, you accept all responsibility for sending this item outside
the USA at your own risk.
5. As long as this item is shipped to arrive
within 2 days and has cold packs added, it will be adequate to
consume even if it is not completely chilled when it arrives. Items
may begin to warm up on the 2nd day in transit if they are
transported in warm trucks or are being delivered to hot areas. So
long as you ensure proper delivery in this time frame and have
selected cold packs or a cold shipper box the items will only warm
up for a short period at most and will stay cool for the bulk of
the journey to you. Please do not be alarmed if items arrive in a
state of thawing, as there are no animal-based ingredients that
pose a health risk of going bad by being exposed to some heat
during the final part of delivery.
6. By clicking the check box to confirm you have
read our policies, you accept all risk in shipping this item to you
in the event that you choose not to ensure delivery within 2 days
and/or do not choose to purchase a cold shipper box or cold shipper
pouch. If you do not ensure proper delivery, we cannot offer any
replacements or reimbursements for items that have spent excessive
time in heat en route to their destination.
