Evolution Cat Kibble (picture is the 8lb bag)
is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the
AAFCO cat food nutrient profiles for all life stages from kitten to
adult. Manufactured by a vegan owned company that makes exclusively
vegan pet foods (no meat products in anything they make!), this
formula contains whole grains, vegetable proteins, vegetable oil,
herbs, vitamins and minerals (and Taurine, too!) This way you can
feed cats a diet that’s cruelty-free and avoid unhealthy
preservatives, slaughterhouse waste, saturated animal fats,
antibiotic residues and artificial colors and flavors. Regular
meat-based cat food is comprised of the lowest-grade leftovers from
the meat industry and can be comprised of many things you’d never
willingly want your companion animals to eat, so by feeding them
Evolution food you know you’re only getting healthy natural
vegetable-based ingredients and not the waste that’s unfit for
human (and likely animal) consumption. Features of this product
include the following:
- Natural Protein (without animal by-products or diseased animals)
from non-bloat inducing soy.
- No growth hormone, antibiotic or fecal residues. Growth Hormones
and Antibiotics have been directly linked to various forms of
cancer in animals and humans.
- Pure polyunsaturated vegetable oil with complete fatty acids (no
saturated animal fat and no cholesterol like all flesh based pet
foods have). Cats can die from heart disease, strokes, and cancers
related to fats, antibiotics and growth hormones just like people,
so Evolution avoids the unhealthy ingredients that can contribute
to health problems.
- Added Taurine and Carnitine, two essential nutrients for cats
- Added specific proteins for health of heart and urinary
- Added vitamins and herbs to enhance immunity and increase life
- Low Mineral Ash, Low Magnesium; High Methionine to prevent kidney
- All products are 100% complete for all life stages. If you have
different aged cats for example, you don't have to feed them
- Live Enzymes and Acidophilus and Bifidus microbes to aid
digestion and utilization of food.
- More concentrated and more easily utilized, Evolution goes 30%
further than regular and ultra premium pet foods, therefore
reducing the amount of fecal material pick up.
- Vitamin A Acetate Especially needed by cats.
Evolution Diet kibble is available in two flavors - Gourmet Pasta
and Veggie Cheezburger (more intense flavor- great for cats new to
vegan food!). Available in a 1 lb. trial size for $3.99, an 8
lb. bag for $29.99, a 20 lb. bag for $59.99 and an economical
40 lb. bag for $84.99.
**NOTE** - If you are not sure how your cat will enjoy this food,
we recommend starting with either the 1 lb. or 8 lb. bag to test as
this product is non-returnable due to the finicky nature of our
feline friends. It is also recommended that cats have a balanced
diet of moist food as well as dry kibble, so please be sure to
either moisten this food on occasion or feed your cat wet food in
addition to the dry kibble to avoid potential health issues. Some
cats have a more difficult time adapting to a vegan diet than
others, so please monitor your cats closely during the transition
to a vegan diet to ensure that they maintain optimal health during
this phase, and have your cat’s health checked regularly by a
licensed veterinarian. We are not veterinarians and cannot offer
medical advice regarding cats and issues that may arise on a vegan
diet, so if you have questions or concerns regarding this please
contact your veterinarian as they can best assist in this area. We
can only share information that is stated by the manufacturer
regarding their products, as we are neither animal nutritionists
nor the creators of this item.

cannot offer refunds on this item if your cat does not like the
product. Due to this, we recommend ordering a smaller supply
to start with if you have not fed your cats Evolution Diet kibble
recently, as the formula does change periodically and you'll want
to be sure your cat is a fan of the latest version. In
addition, we unfortunately cannot offer any coupon code discounts
on the 40 lb. bulk bags due to the large losses we take on shipping
costs. We also cannot offer the flat-rate shipping on 2nd Day Air

Make Sure Ad Water to Kibble Before Serving
From Alfredo Kuba of Mountain View, California on 1/14/2015.
Evolution Kibble is a fantastic product but you have to make sure you AD WATER to the kibble at least 2 hours before serving! This will keep your cats hydrated and also will increase the volume on the servings. Ad water 1-1 ratio. Note that this are also the instructions on the package on how to serve the food. If you are introducing your cat to the vegan food, you have to be patience, introduce the moistened food little by little, mixed with the old food and gradually increase the amount of Evolution and reduce the amount of the old food until is all Evolution. Some cats will eat it right away but others take a little time. Finally always ad and give your cats filtered water, preferably reverse osmosis or distilled water are best. Tap water is a big no no.
Evolution so far with my ferrets and cats
From Stephanie Feliciano of Lake Worth, Florida on 6/18/2014.
I'm highly annoyed we cannot get a real gauge of this food by reviews because ignorant people keep spamming the reviews section. The cats do not seem crazy about the taste, but taste is not the hard part, finding a digestible fully nutritionally adequate food is.This is about two weeks on evolution. My male cat has lost weight eating evolution, when he was already skinny, I'm not sure if it's because he's refusing to eat enough of it or if its just the food itself. The fat *is* on the low scale.I'll be adding more fat to entice him.As for my ferrets, they dig it, but evolution according to outside sources for ferret nutrition, is not completely adequate. To compensate the low fat and low protein (by ferret standards at least) I add coconut oil and green mush which they are very attracted to. The female seems a little thin, but apparently this is common for some body types? The male ferret seems to have actually gained weight. Keeping a careful eye on them. For cats (or whatever) who are not found of the taste you can use these measures:Nutritional Yeast Spirulina (which Green Mush has)Oils, coconut oil is bestVegan cheesesVeganaise (note that these have lots of oil)
Six years of Happy vegan Kitties So far
From Doug Gellman of Afton, Virginia on 6/9/2014.
I've been feeding my cats Evolution for six years now with no ill effects, and they keep getting positive checkups at the vet. I like the fact that not only is it humane, but it does not have harmful chemicals, hormones, and slaughterhouse by-products. To ensure good health, I do mix it with Ami catfood. Dry in the morning, wet in the evening with a 1/4 teaspoon of VegeCat pHi in each bowl to ward off urinary tract infections. This has proven to be a stellar product when used in conjunction with the others I've mentioned.
From Alfredo Kuba of Mountain View, California on 5/22/2014.
Evolution Vegan Dog & Cat food is by far the best Dog & Cat food period. This product reversed and cured diabetes on my first rescue kitty! Incredible! I have been using Evolution for over 22 years now with all my FIV's very successfully. All cats are healthy and show no symptoms or have any health problems. Evolution is free of toxins usually found in all commercial pet foods including all the big brand names. Evolution has never been recalled! All animal based pet food companies have been involved in recalls that have sickened and killed millions of dogs and cats.Evolution is a great product you can depend on and trust. Thank you Evolution for the fantastic products!
VERY tasty but ... hard.
From JUNE NJ1 of LONG BRANCH, New Jersey on 2/20/2013.
I bought this and the Evolution canned food. Both flavors of each. This review is for the kibble (dry food). So: *I* liked the taste. Both flavors! I'd never tasted cat kibble, because I didn't have my own cats before I went vegan, and I didn't really care. This time, I did taste it, and it was very interesting. The flavors are quite tasty! Both Veggie Cheezburger and Gourmet Pasta. However, it *is* very hard - I haven't tried mixing it with water yet, as some have recommended. For the cats, I mean. As for my cats: same reaction as with the canned food; they didn't hate it, BUT they were only so-so with it. So I mixed their other kibble in with it, and they eat it that way. Like someone else here said - at least they're 'partly vegan'.I WILL buy it again, and keep mixing their other dry food in with it. I absolutely hate buying and handling meat, so hopefully my guys will eventually be okay with more and greater amounts of the vegan kibble, and less of the other stuff.
