An all-natural sea-sourced toothpaste, this formula is made with certified organic blue green algae, sea salts and trace minerals. Not only that, it contains three natural whitening polishers as well, including bamboo powder, calcium carbonate and silica, which help prevent plaque build-up and are more gentle on teeth than other whitening products. Anti-bacterial Grapefruit See Extract and Perilla Seed Extract help block sugar acids and bacteria from forming in your mouth. Certified organic aloe vera gel helps soothe and relieve gums from irritation, and essential oils of mint bring the Deepsea spearmint flavor. 6 oz. tube is $5.99.

Ingredients: Calcium carbonate, glycerin (vege), aqua (purified sea water), blue green algae*, sodium cocoyl glutamate, carrageenan, aloe barbadensis gel*, sodium bicarbonate, bambusa arundinacea (bamboo powder), stevioside, perilla frutescens japanica (perilla seed extract), carum petroselinum (parsley extract), silica, citrus grandis (grapefruit seed extract), mentha viridis (spearmint).

Nature's Gate refuses to disclose the RDA (relative dentin abrasivity) of their toothpastes. I checked three dental charts and see that the Nature's Gate paste is high up on the abrasive value. Until they disclose, I feel they've got something to hide. If it's too abrasive, it can damage enamel pellicle.

I've tried a lot of different natural teeth cleaning options over the recent years (dozens) with varying success rates, and this one is hands down the best tasting. DH was extremely skeptical of my hunt for the right toothpaste, and he actually refused to participate after the neem tooth soap debacle, but he couldn't resist this one. He says it actually feels and tastes better than his previous favourite brand (he was a Colgate man).

I started using this toothpaste about 1 month ago and have been experiencing a progressive condition of lingering bad taste in my mouth. Now food doesn't taste right and my throat reacts a bit if I brush with this - so I have stopped.

I am healthy, organic, and have been surprised by this experience.

I have been using this toothpaste for over 2 years now and i love it! My teeth used to hurt and I had stains from drinking coffee, I felt like I had to go see a dentist. But since I use this toothpaste, they don't hurt no more and the stains are gone! I just never got to go to the dentist and now I don't feel like I need to!!!

I bought this on a whim and boy am I glad I did. It gives my mouth a feeling that's kinda like "squeaky clean," but even better. I've used other "alternative" (for lack of a better term) toothpastes before and wasn't really impressed, but this product totally blew me away.
