Better off barefoot
From Anonymous of Alexandria, Virginia on 9/21/2014.
These shoes aren't just bad, they're unacceptable! They're so uncomfortable that I only wore them once, because I couldn't even bare to put them on again. They feel like they're made of cardboard. $100 for this is a joke. In fact, they're so bad I'd go so far as to say selling these is a scam!
Polish shoes if they squeak!
From Anonymous of Troy, New York on 2/23/2014.
These are great dress shoes, I wear them all the time and I'm about to buy my second pair. Nobody ever suspects they're not leather at first glance, which is good. I find them very comfortable, with a short break-in period. I have somewhat narrow feet and long toes. Some notes and recommendations for proper care:1) Yes, these shoes squeak, but if they do, you need to POLISH THEM (including the tongue- take the laces out) and the sound will go away. Vegetarian shoes UK makes a good cruelty-free polish. Most other varieties are made with bone char. These shoes take a good polish.2) The white thread that hold this shoe together frays and becomes prominent with wear. My solution was to take a razor blade and very gently clip the offending portions away, being careful not to touch the surface of the shoe with the blade.3) These shoes should definitely be stored with shoe trees to increase their longevity. As it is, that's one place where non-leather materials consistently come up short.4) The laces that came with the shoes were kind of weak.
Squeaked Too Loud
From Anonymous of Dallas, Texas on 11/24/2013.
Cannot wear in office because of squeaks. Purchased a year ago, late review. Emailed manufacturer but didn't get reply. Not sure if they have done anything about it. Otherwise looks like a professional shoe and fairly comfortable for me. Putting some tape or fabric where the shoe rubs against the tongue reduced the squeaks, but I found it still squeaked.

I love Vegetarian Shoes, and have owned several different shoes over the years of theirs that I really liked; however, for some reason (weird shaped feet?), these are the least comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I gave them time to break-in, and even purchased an insert to help, but to no avail. I'd recommend going with another of their great shoes.

The UK 12 was way too big. The UK 11 created blisters on my heels and little toes. Unwearable for me.
