Information: Viana has
been tested when held out of refrigeration at room temperature (up
to 73ºF) for two months and shown no affect to the quality of the
product, so it does not need to arrive to you completely cold, but
we wish to make sure it ships so that it does not spend more than 1
day warming up before you receive it. To ensure this, we can only
guarantee freshness as long as items is shipped with a cold bag or
box (see below at the bottom of this page to add to your order as
they are not included) and is received within 2-3 days of shipping.
If your order is shipping to the following states, UPS Ground
shipping will arrive within that time: WI, IL, MN, IN, MI,
IA, MO, OH, KY, TN, WV, NE, KS (eastern half of state), GA
(northern half of state), ND (eastern half of state), PA (western
half of state), and NY (western half of state) However,
during heat waves or delivery to states outside of this area we do
recommend ordering via 2nd Day Air to ensure that the product will
be in excellent condition when you receive it. We cannot guarantee
freshness if the shipping time is longer than 2-3 days. Any UPS
Ground shipments longer than this are at your own
risk.
As long as this item is shipped to arrive
within 2 days and has cold packs added, it will be adequate to
consume even if it is not completely chilled when it arrives. Items
may begin to warm up on the 2nd day in transit if they are
transported in warm trucks or are being delivered to hot areas. So
long as you ensure proper delivery in this time frame and have
selected cold packs or a cold shipper box the items will only warm
up for a short period at most and will stay cool for the bulk of
the journey to you. Please do not be alarmed if items arrive in a
state of thawing, as there are no animal-based ingredients that
pose a health risk of going bad by being exposed to some heat
during the final part of delivery.

Strange sense of spice and too salty

This company seems to way over salt it's products I loved the Cowgirl Steaks, but they are are at a max of high salt level that I can tolerate. The Kebobs (and other flavors) are just overpoweringly salt filled.
It's too bad. As a longtime vegetarian I crave new flavors in meat substitutes and I love love love spicy food. But massive salt is not seasoning, to me.
I will not buy these again and wish they would stock other products instead. Sometimes I wonder if the buyers actually taste these foods before marketing them. (I love Vegan Essentials and place a bug order every month. I hope hey look for better tasting meat alternatives than these.)

Quite tasty! A bit salty but excellent in a pita with finely chopped salad mix, cabbage and goddess dressing. Good texture, crumbly. Will get more when back in stock. Would love to see more Viana products for purchase (hotdogs, sandwich slices, etc...).

This tasted nothing like gyros for me, but was still very good. Very salty though, which I could do without. The saltiness was well countered by eating in a wrap with lots of veggies. I will be ordering this again.
Actually it's bettern than gyros :S

I read someone's review that it's not as good as gyros. So I tried both but gyros wasnt as good as this one... Anyway, as we say in greece "when it comes to appetite, only pumkin pie is always loved by all" :P
