Important Shipping Information: Viana has been tested
when held out of refrigeration at room temperature (up to 73ºF) for
two months and shown no negative effect to the quality of the
product, so it does not need to arrive to you cold. Viana
brand items are sold in many locations in Europe as shelf-stable
products without any refrigeration - the packaging notes "Keep
refrigerated" for sale in the USA so that retailers will display
Viana items alongside competing meat alternatives which are found
in the refrigerated section at most stores, but this does not mean
that their items require refrigeration until after being
opened. Once opened, you will need to refrigerate any unused
portions for up to 7 days to keep your Viana items
This allows you to save money on not needing a cold
shipper with their products, unless you happen to be ordering other
items which do require refrigeration (where a cold shipper will
automatically add to your order). Please email us at email@example.com if
you have any questions regarding shipping Viana brand items!
Strange sense of spice and too salty
From Anonymous of Newport, Oregon on 11/23/2010.
This company seems to way over salt it's products I loved the Cowgirl Steaks, but they are are at a max of high salt level that I can tolerate. The Kebobs (and other flavors) are just overpoweringly salt filled. It's too bad. As a longtime vegetarian I crave new flavors in meat substitutes and I love love love spicy food. But massive salt is not seasoning, to me. I will not buy these again and wish they would stock other products instead. Sometimes I wonder if the buyers actually taste these foods before marketing them. (I love Vegan Essentials and place a bug order every month. I hope hey look for better tasting meat alternatives than these.)

Quite tasty! A bit salty but excellent in a pita with finely chopped salad mix, cabbage and goddess dressing. Good texture, crumbly. Will get more when back in stock. Would love to see more Viana products for purchase (hotdogs, sandwich slices, etc...).

*REALLY* salty...but really good :)
Good in their own way
From rachel of keller, Texas on 2/20/2009.
This tasted nothing like gyros for me, but was still very good. Very salty though, which I could do without. The saltiness was well countered by eating in a wrap with lots of veggies. I will be ordering this again.
Actually it's bettern than gyros :S
From Anonymous of Athens, Greece on 3/5/2008.
I read someone's review that it's not as good as gyros. So I tried both but gyros wasnt as good as this one... Anyway, as we say in greece "when it comes to appetite, only pumkin pie is always loved by all" :P
