P-Tidyl-Wei1 by NuTru

NuTru's P-Tidyl-Wei1™ product is the first all vegan formulation in a vegetable-based capsule. There has been much attention given in the news media recently on aging and mental capacity. Phosphatidylserine is a key nutrient in the brain since the brain actually produces phosphatidylserine and, as we age, the production of phosphatidylserine decreases. This is all the more important with other age related conditions such as dementia, Alzheimers, etc.

Phosphatidylserine PS is a phospholipid that can be found in cells throughout the body. However, it is most concentrated in brain cells where it comprises approximately 70% of overall nerve tissue. It is essential for storage, release, and for the functioning of certain neurotransmitters that govern brain activity. Phosphatidylserine also serves to increase the release of dopamine which is a mood regulator while at the same time increasing reduction of acetylcholine which is used in brain and memory. At the same time phosphatidylserine helps to support glucose metabolism in the brain which helps to fuel brain functions.

Most, if not all, of the current formulations of phosphatidylserine utilize 100 mgs. NuTru’s product is the first all vegan formulation in a vegetarian capsule which contains 150 mgs. There have been many studies done on phosphatidylserine including a multicenter Italian study on senile dementia; a Belgian study focusing on the same class of patients; and a study in Maryland analyzing phosphatidylserine for memory and concentration. All of these studies showed increases in memory, concentration, and increased well-being.
