No iodine!
From Anonymous of Berkeley, California on .
I was excited about a vegan multivitamin that didn't include additions about which there's little research (e.g. red raspberry leaf), but I was disappointed to realize that this vitamin doesn't contain iodine! If you're vegan, then unless you eat seaweed regularly or cook with decent amounts of iodized salt, you probably want to make sure you're getting iodine from your prenatal. I've since switched vitamins.
Great for sensitive vegan mom tummies!
From Anonymous of Vergennes, Vermont on .
I tried some other vegan multi-vitamins with my first pregnancy but all made me extremely nauseous - they were simply too strong. This one has worked so well. With two little ones born 16 months apart and the need to continue a supplement while nursing, I've been taking this for quite a while now. Only wish is that it had just a bit more calcium.
try it with a DHA supplement

Also, don't forget to add a good DHA supplement like DEVA Omega-3 DHA along with your multivite!
a decent vegan multivitamin
From preggers of Newton, Massachusetts on .
This is not a bad vegan prenatal multivite in my opinion. It does not have more than the recommended amount of vitamin A; the rest I can pick up through my diet without risking taking too much, which in high doses over 10,000IU has been linked to birth defects. I still haven't found any definitive recommendation for over 200IU of vitamin D in pregnant women. This supplement would require that you make sure you get adequate calcium through your diet, which fortunately isn't that hard. And I've seen recommendations for folic acid in pregnant women to be closer to 1000mcg. Overall this seems to be a decent well-balanced vitamin. I wouldn't take mine or a product's word for it though. ALWAYS DISCUSS IT WITH YOUR DOCTOR and do your own research. :)
Great Vitamin Choice!

Even after lots of "morning sickness", my midwife was raving about my hemoglobin levels, I know that is due to these vitamins! I appreciate knowing that these are animal product free and kosher certified. thanks!
