Taste like Polenta (kind of)
From Anonymous of Chicago, Illinois on 8/22/2014.
These get mixed reviews but if you've had other veggie type "burgers" you would know a couple of things - first that the ingredients on many veggie burgers are very unhealthy with ingredients like soy, gluten, bad oils (agree that I wish these didn't have canola oil) and other bad ingredients. Very few on the market like Qrunch. Second - most veggie burgers taste nothing like real burgers and really aren't meant to so if you approach these expecting that - you'll be sorely disappointed. These taste good for what they are and taste almost more like a polenta or even the dough/masa they use for tamales. It's actually quite tasty and versatile from that perspective and you can do pretty much anything with them you would polenta. I did a mushroom sauté mix and topped it that way - delicious and also a bruschetta type topping with fresh tomatoes, basil, olive oil and balsamic. Research polenta recipes and you can pretty much apply most to these (and these are healthier than just plain polenta). I've not tried the Italian flavor but I have had the lentil sweet curry and those get 5 stars all the way. Taste almost exactly like Falafel but way healthier. I served mine on mixed greens w/lemon juice and olive oil and added a bit of home made tzatziki sauce (versions you can make with or without dairy - greek yogurt in my case). So - if you know what other veggie patties have in them and actually taste like - for the ingredients and the nutritional value of these - they actually taste awesome.

I served the plain patties to my family tonight and they loved them! I have a 14 year old and a 7 year old and they both said they were really good!! How often does that happen? I'm impressed. Thank you for paying attention to ingredients. Only complaint: last ingredient is canola oil. Boo to that! Otherwise they would have gotten 5 stars :).
Didn't care for at all!
From Vanessa Strange of Menasha, Wisconsin on 4/5/2013.
big disappointment! Almost inedible tastewise. Ugh. I normally am a quinoa fan also, but the combo done here does not work. I regret buying two boxes. Not good. To try to forget about them I am having the tacos tonight, thankfully. Whew.

My husband and I tried these for the first time and we really liked them. They have a nice aroma. I purchased both flavors. We haven't tasted the 'Spicy Italian' ones yet, but the plain were delish. I baked them and they came out nice and crunchy. They were great in a fresh salad. Super tasty with whole cranberries tossed in. Will buy again.

I'm a huge quinoa fan, and couldn't wait to try these. I got the 'Spicy Italian' version. If I hadn't paid so much for them, I'd toss them in the trash. This is the kind of food that non-vegans THINK vegan food would taste like... There is no flavor at all. None. The burger has more millet than quinoa, and the millet 'balls' provide all the texture. Not very pleasant. The 'Italian' is a figment of the manufacturer's imagination. There is nothing Italian about these because there IS no flavor. There might have been a very slight burn in my throat, which possibly is the 'spicy'. The patties are also incredibly dry. I'd give this one star, but, if you have allergies, these eliminate a lot of common allergens, so I added a star for that.
