I tend to reason that if we had never abused animals in the first place we would never have needed vaccines and medications to save us from diseases like cancer as they simply would not exist.

I'm avid about vegetarianism... but be real. As someone involved in science, there are very stringent guidelines and enrichment programs in place for lab animals. While there are instances, I'm sure, of abuse... I have NEVER witnessed them. Part of the reason people think animal rights activists are soo extreme and flaky is because of blanket statements. Generalizations should be relegated to majority circumstances. And if you've ever personally taken a vaccine, medications, had a friend saved from cancer, etc. You have animal research to "thank". We all want better, if not the best, for animals. Just remember your own hypocrisy to have a gentle spirit in educating those around you... which we SHOULD be doing!

When I argue with people over Veganism, and Animal Rights in general, it's hard to convince them that all these things are truly happening to actual animals who are suffering right now. This shirt says it simply, and boldly.
