Not really like BBQ

To me, it tasted nothing like BBQ at all. It had a strong odd flavor to it. I had to 'fix' it by adding other stuff to it, such as BBQ sauce, which sort of defeats the purpose of buying this box.
Not barbecue

I was raised in Texas and I know barbecue taste. This ain't it! Way too smoky. Very strong flavor.

It's probably a question of taste, but I didn't find it extraordinarily great. The taste was a bit too "smoked" for me...
The look and the texture did fool my meat-eater friend though.

This product is great for recipe substitutes. The texture is great, however, the flavor is a bit bland but not beyond repair. Mix some fresh garlic & spices and tomato suace and you'll be set for a great sloppy joe. I recommend trying it, not a waste of $ at all.
