Most commercial dog food is a product of the meat and poultry industry. Not only is the quality of the ingredients questionable, but feeding it to our beloved companions results in the same negative consequences for our planet as the consumption of animal foods by humans: an increase in pollution, global warming, infectious disease, and the inhumane treatment of billions of animals.

The Simple Little Vegan Dog Book can help you safely transition your companion dog to a nutritious, healthful, plant-based diet. Get the latest scoop on:

- What animal nutrition enthusiasts consider to be the best way to introduce your dog to a vegan diet

- Which ingredients in commercial dog foods are most risky

- How the health of dogs fed a vegan diet compares to those eating commercial dog foods

- Why certain popular human foods (including avocados and onions) are toxic for dogs

Whether you wish to supplement or completely transform mealtimes, you can provide your dog with delicious, nutritious biscuits, daily staples, and special occasion treats. Filled with plenty of recipe options, your pampered pooch will never be without something that they’ll find delicious and nutritious, everything completely animal-free! 80 pages. Cover price is $9.95 per copy, our price is $7.99!

Most the recipes I have made from this book are great and my dog gobbles them up. The only one she didn't like was some biscuits. I think it's a worthwhile book for the recipes even though the avocado thing may be false.

My Husky spent years on a veggie dog diet (she passed at 16) was never overweight, had beautiful clean teeth and a bright enegetic outlook until the end. Don't knock it until you've tried it.

I was thinking of ordering this book until I saw the part where it is claimed that avocadoes are toxic for dogs. No, they are not. Both my dogs eat avocadoes and both are still alive after years of doing so. Avocado is an ingredient in commercial dog food (not that I advocate feeding commercial dog food).

I have to wonder about the rest of the author's research if she passes on the avocado myth. It's the PIT that is toxic and who eats that anyway?
