Even my meat-eating husband loves this! We have it over rice. It doesn't come with the garnish/vege as pictured, but most food doesn't look exactly as on the box. In any case, we love this brand and buy it every week! My meat-eating husband actually ASKS for it!

I can only assume that the folks who gave this item a bad rating must not be cooking it correctly. It is delish!I have had it over salad 4 nights in a row.
Very Realistic and Very Good!

Thaw it in the fridge....stir fry it a little in sesame oil and then add fresh veggies like broccoli, mushrooms, and snow peas. Add in the sticky rice and stir altogether! Totally yummy! By itself it is too strong and overpowering...you have to add veggies and rice to spread the flavor out. The texture of the "chicken" is very realistic. This is an amazing dish when prepared correctly!

I love the Vegan Kung Pao Chicken! It has a great texture and is very flavorful and spicy. I stir fry it with cashews, mushrooms and green onions and serve with rice.

Try for yourself, you'll love it!

Seriously, some people think too much.
A good majority of the food products sold show other things on the packaging. Just because I might buy an apple pie doesn't mean I expect the full dinner table in the image to be in the box with it!
I eat these all the time. The sauce is great, the "meat" is fantastic, if you want veggies, throw them in as well. I mean, fresh IS better than dehydrated, and the 30 seconds to cut up some beans, carrots, etc. isn't going to ruin your life.
Everyone has their own tastes, In my 25 years as a vegan I've probably eaten just about everything that's come out. Personally, I love these, no matter what some fussy folks might have for their own opinions.
And for the guy who thought that 800 calories in a meal is too much, maybe you need to consdier that includes if you also ate every last drop of sauce. It's probably closer to 600-650 calories in the whole pack for what anyone would eat. And, as a last note, have you ever considered how many calories are in a similar dish if you were to eat out somewhere?!? Sometimes the lack of thought in reviews astounds me.
