Holiday Shipping Schedule
We’re getting close to Christmas, and as there isn’t much time left, we want to make sure our shoppers are aware of our shipping schedule for the remainder of December:
The last day for any UPS or USPS deliveries is Dec. 24th on Christmas eve – there will be no deliveries from any shippers on Christmas, so please keep this in mind. Also, please note that neither UPS nor the USPS guarantees shipping to be on-time during a holiday week, so there is always a chance that things could run late, please order as early as possible to reduce risk of late delivery as much as possible. The best insurance to get items delivered in time for Christmas is to ensure that your order is placed by no later than 9 AM Monday morning on December 21st, and that you choose 2nd Day Air shipping if you are not showing to be in a 1-2 day range for UPS Ground delivery.
DOMESTIC FOR CHRISTMAS
For domestic orders, there is still time to get anything you need, but PLEASE note that as we get closer to Christmas, there are increased chances of delays as UPS and the US Postal Service become very busy with last-minute increased shipping volumes.
This means that Ground parcels run the risk of taking 1-2 days longer for delivery starting this time, so please order sooner rather than later to ensure the most time for delivery. You will see your estimated time in transit at checkout, and please note that the day the order is placed is NOT included in the time in transit – this means that starting next Monday on December 21st, there are only 3 business days for delivery, and that is provided things are moving on normal schedule. If you are shipping to a 4 business day time in transit, we can only send non-cold goods via UPS Ground at this time – if you need refrigerated or frozen food items, you MUST order by no later than noon Tuesday with 2nd Day Air shipping to have any chance of items reaching you in time. Any orders placed that contain cold goods that will not arrive in time via Ground before Christmas will be held until January 4th, which is the first full week of shipping we will have as of this time (there are limited shipping days on the week of New Year’s Day (2 shipping days by UPS and 3 by USPS), so we cannot send any cold goods that week).
Please keep this in mind as we cannot be responsible for slow shipper movement in the final days heading toward Christmas as this is beyond our control, so again, the sooner you order, the less likely of any delays that could prevent delivery before the holiday!
INTERNATIONAL FOR CHRISTMAS
For international orders, it is now almost impossible to get items to areas outside the USA unless sent via an extremely fast service, which may be very expensive. Any such orders would need to be placed no later than 9 AM Monday morning on December 21st, and costs to ship via a fast service will be more than our quoted online pricing. If you’d like a quote for a rush order, please email the items/quantities desired and the shipping address to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will let you know costs and what services can possibly get items to arrive before Christmas. Any order placed online via our normal services will ship as normal within 1-2 business days if containing only dry goods, but if they contain cold items, those orders will be held until January 4th to ship once the holidays are no longer affecting time in transit.
END OF DECEMBER / START OF JANUARY
During the final week of December, there will be deliveries through Dec. 31st, but no parcels will deliver on Thursday, Dec. 31st or Friday, January 1st. Please keep this in consideration again if you are ordering cold goods to a West Coast area that has a 4 day ship time, as any orders placed that are not timed to arrive within 3 business days will need to be held to ship on January 4th and cannot ship sooner to any location in a 4 day Ground location. If you are ordering cold goods and see at checkout that you are in a 4 day range for Ground, please either change to 2nd Day Air if you need your items soon, otherwise, they will ship January 4th to reach you on the 8th as we cannot send them sooner without having a full week for delivery.
We are working around the clock to ship all orders as quickly as possible, but please note the details above for any orders needed for Christmas so your items to you in time for the holiday, as again, we cannot guarantee against any possible delays with UPS Ground or USPS Mail during this busy time of the year, and only UPS 2nd Day Air is a guaranteed on-time delivery (so long as shipped on Monday, Dec. 21st), and is recommended for anyone needing 100% assurance of items arriving (you can select this option through 2 PM Central Time Tuesday Dec. 22nd for last-minute orders, but there is a slight risk of things running late).
Thank you all, and we hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
