An economical option for orders where you're shipping small
chocoaltes or baked goods (like muffins) that simply need to be
kept from excessive heat but do not need refrigerated
temperatures. This option is not ideal for refrigerated or
frozen foods, and such items ordered with this cold shipper bag are
sent at your own risk. Please choose the Cold Shipper Box for
orders containing anything other than chocolates or baked
goods. If you are not in a 2-day delivery range for Ground
shipping (which will be shown at checkout), we recommend choosing
2nd Day Air shipping with this option if you are outside the range
for fast Ground delivery. Includes a Cool Shield bag and cold
Note: For larger quantities of perishable items and
for increased cold retention, please choose the Cold Shipper Box.

Ok, I realize it was probably about 85 where my food was coming from but it did arrive in two days. So either it was sitting on a hot truck all day by misfortune, or these things aren't very good. I actually bought the bag, but for some reason they gave me the box which is just a styroform box filled with reusable ice packs. Totally cool I can reuse them. But honestly people, unless you live within 2 days time in the summer, do not order perishables that are not raw. I thankfully ordered those raw pies. The key-lime was a melted mess and none of them were still frozen. I hope they refreeze okay. I'm going to try a couple flavors than post my review on that. Good news is, raw foods don't spoil easily as it's mostly just spices, fruits and nuts. Although if I was getting it as a gift...I'd be a sad panda. lol. Overall, they would work totally fine in spring, summer....yeahhhh NY isn't even hot...ever. May the force be with your food peeps!
From cristina miesionczek of Yonkers, New York on 5/3/2013.
The ice packs were completely thawed. The stuff was warm :( Shipped on Tuesday and got here on Friday.
From Suri of Denver, Colorado on 10/20/2011.
Very large, kept everything cold, ice packs and bag can be reused (the bag is great to keep in the car for cold items from the grocery store). I'm building up a large collection of ice packs...
Works great, HUGE!
From cheryl devine of ukiah, California on 10/4/2010.
I live in california and got the 2 days shipping. Arrives cold, and I live pretty far away!
From Anonymous of New Orleans, Louisiana on 9/3/2010.
Did you people actually freeze them before you shipped? Horrible!
From Maegan Miller of Marysville, Ohio on 7/21/2010.
It's great that you can reuse them but they were almost completely thawed when I got my stuff even though my package arrived on time.
hey---you can re-use the ice packs!
From kim waters of new york, New York on 6/14/2010.
teaching 20 kickbox and spinning classes per week AND going thru hot flashes, those cold packs go right into my freezer and are used for overuse injuries & when menopause is in overdrive!oh, yeah and thefood always arrives cold.
Bag is HUGE!
From Anonymous of Cleveland, Ohio on 3/12/2010.
This bag is HUGE! It's a large insulated bag, and I think mine had 4-6 of those little ice packs in there with my food. I'm glad I got the bag instead of the box, because I wouldn't have needed it.
I usually have to get these
From Beth Sopko of New York, New York on 10/4/2009.
I usually order something perishable like cheese, so I have to get these; the pack is always liquid by the time it arrives, though. I also put it in the freezer for later reuse, though; you never know.
re-used for a road trip
From Morgan Longo of Fredericksburg, Virginia on 3/15/2009.
was still frozen a day later when food bag was left on back porch
