Outstanding hot dog
From Elissa Mayo of Dana Point, California on .
These are hands down the best veggie dogs I have ever had. I don't even need to put them on a bun and cover them with condiments. They are that good. One caveat...I am sad they contain wheat gluten. I cannot 'stomach' very much wheat gluten, so these will only be a treat for once and a while. If they find a way to improve the recipe without wheat gluten I will eat them every day LOL.
Best vegan hot dogs

How are people not talking about these? These are the best veggie dogs I've had in my years of eating vegan hot dogs. They taste like real hotdogs (I fooled a friend with them) and probably taste better than most real hotdogs!
AMAZING!

These things are utterly amazing! Great taste and texture. The first vegan hotdog worth talking about!

Great taste. Great texture too, so much better than the rubbery ones.
Yum!

I tried the Field roast hotdog for the first time today. I was delighted that they surpassed my expectations. I have had other veggie dogs and this surpassed it.
Great dog!

Impressive! The texture and flavor are perfect. This is the best vegan hot dog I've tasted. Now I know why these will be the new vegan Dodger dog at the Dodger Stadium. Congratulations, well done!
A MAJOR COUP

Bravo Field Roast! An excellent tasting product with a reasonable
amount of sodium.
Best hot dog so far
From Miles of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on .
I recently tried these and I think they're my favorite so far! I think their "skin" is not super impressive, by comparison the Upton's UpDogs have a better handle on that crisp skin "bite" that the animal-based ones I grew up on have. But the batch of UpDogs I had tasted really off. These Field Roast hot dogs are firmer and better textured than the Lightlife and Tofurky ones (which to me resemble the soft pink paste Oscar Mayer dogs). And they taste better and less salty than Field Roast's other hot dogs. The only off putting thing is they are awkwardly long and skinny, they should be shorter and plumper but that's just my taste I guess. Overall great hot dog, my new favorite/go-to.
wouldn't buy again

I wanted to like these but didn't like the flavor or lack of flavor. The texture of Field Roast products is not appetizing to me. I prefer Viana flavor and texture.
