unique delicacy

if you've eaten and loved non vegan salami you can perhaps imagine how figs would be the perfect texture to recreate salami in vegan form. I had another fig salami years ago (not this brand) that was clearly a dessert only salami. this, with the aleppo peppers, is savory and sweet! no, you probably won't be happy chopping of big pieces to eat on crackers, but I think that's sort of obvious because it's made of figs. I recommend slicing it really thin, frying it in a little olive oil and then adding in scramble ingredients for a delicious addition to your breakfast. Also great grated onto baked potato. I think the key is to get small pieces and cook it. I've also had great success layering it into my lasagna!!
Yuck.

Granted, we are vegans who like meaty things -- Beyond and Impossible make us happy. This fig "salami" most certainly did not. It is literally like eating a fig-based protein bar -- not something I want as part of a charcuterie board. Hard pass.
Yum!
