A-mazing!!!
From Anonymous of Charleston, South Carolina on .
I adore these! They have the EXACT flavour profile as Italian sausage, have a very good texture and are delicious in every way. They are low carb and nutritious too. Smother them in a rich tomato sauce and they are ready to go in 10 minutes. Never stop making these please!
holy heaven in my mouth
From Melini Roettger of Saint George, Utah on .
these are the best meat balls, I am a cook and these make me not ever want to create my own vegan meat balls as they are completely perfect, a reviewer stated they hated the strong fennel these have and if I'm completely honest you could tone down the fennel a bit and it would not hurt this product but my whole family love them including some nonvegan family members and our kinds nonvegan principle at their highschool!!!!!
Do not buy if you dislike fennel seeds
From Anonymous of Fountain, Colorado on .
These would be amazing besides the disgusting fennel seeds...that was seriously all I could taste. Can you guys come up with a PLAIN meatball variety without these awful seeds?? I would happily buy...won't buy again until then.
Terrible
From Anonymous of Champaign, Illinois on .
These were terrible! The spices are completely off and the fennel seeds are way too textured and overpowering.
These are not spicy at all
From Anonymous of Montreal, Quebec on .

Great product! But not for me

I have been a vegetarian for a year now. I love vegetables, and I am not interested in imitation meat. Nevertheless, I tried these and I think they taste perfect. The only reason I will not be eating them again is that they don't taste vegetarian. I find it confusing. Bravo on creating a wonderful meatless meat imitation. Bon appe-meat!
Spices are right on!

HIGHLY RECOMMEMDED, I am ordering these from CANADA (NEW ORLEANS) (US company bought the CANADIAN company recently) I love these so much. I cook quite a lot and I am from southern Mediterranean ancestry, plus my husband is first generation Italian and WE LOVE THESE MEATBALLS. These are better than real meatballs and the fennel provides an Italian sausage type spice which if cooked in a sauce enhances the flavor of the sauce. YOU can use fennel with a multitude of foods (previous review said only pork recipes???)
Ruined by fennel!
From Anonymous of Sarasota, Florida on .
There is WAY too much fennel seed in these meatballs. They really shouldn't have any fennel, as it is a spice that traditionally goes in pork sausage and these meatballs are a beef imitation. FYI fennel gives the flavor of licorice and it just does not work in these meatballs. Otherwise I think the taste and texture would have been very good, but I will never buy them again unless they remove the fennel.
Perfect

I'm not sure why someone would complain or consider them spicy haha because they are not spicy for me. They are seasoned enough and taste great. I cook them on the stove and add spaghetti sauce. My non vegan friends considered buying them as well 😊
Best Veggie Meatball!
From Anonymous of Chicago, Illinois on .
I've been a vegetarian for 20 years, and so I've had my share of vegan meatballs. These are by-far the best in terms of texture, flavor and spice. If you have absolutely no tolerance for spice (like some other reviewers), they can feel strong, but are in no way too spicy or as potent as others make them out to be. Think a mild to medium curry; not that spicy. Excellent with a sweeter marinara sauce!
Not fo rme
From Anonymous of South San Francisco, California on .
I try lots of meatless products and this just didn't cut it for me. Very dense and the texture is like eating a meatball w/pieces of fat. The spices were nothing special. Not my thing at all. Husband who is big meat eater seemed to like them.
One spice is WAY too strong
From Anonymous of Rochester, New York on .
I tried these twice and still can't stomach them. I like all other Gardein products but this product I will not buy again. There is one spice or perhaps several spices which are strong.... tame the heavy spices.
just a bit too spicy
From s of town, New Jersey on .
I'd pull back on the heat/spiciness, unless it is to cover another undesirable flavor???
My kids would have loved this, sans the heat. Right on with texture.
the best meatless meatballs

Enjoyed these so much with homemade tomato sauce and spaghetti. I am not a fan of imitation meat in general. But these I will definitely buy again! Super easy also, just toss in the sauce 15 min. before you are ready. Yum!
12 year vegetarian..

I've used these twice for spaghetti dinner. I loved the flavor the first time, but, the texture not so much. Second time I chopped them up to distribute throughout the pasta. WIN WIN WIN. Absolutely delicious! Will be my go to spaghetti dinner recipe until...well, until the end of my time!
Simply awful!
From Nancy DiMatteo of Portland, Maine on .
I decided to try some meat alternatives recently, and I wish I hadn't. These meatballs are so spicy, I couldn't finish two of them! I cooked them in the oven like it said, and then dropped them in spaghetti sauce for a few. Put them on a bun, and I couldn't eat the whole thing, it was just awful! I'm going to stick to veggies and fruit!!
Holy crap these are good

I've been craving a meatball sub for weeks now and I finally saw these at the store. I definitely had to give them a shot and they were even better than expected. I'm one very happy vegetarian right now. Get them! Lol
Pretty Darn Good
From Michelle of Highland, Michigan on .
I've been a vegetarian for nearly two years and had yet to find a "fake meat" that I liked. While I love the vegetarian dishes that I cook, once in a while I will really get the hankering for meat again and will end up trying something like this.
The Gardein Classic Meatless Meatballs are good, and for a meat substitute, they are REALLY good. The texture is perfect, the spices aren't over or under-powering, and the flavor doesn't taste at all funky or "soy-y". I cooked them in a homemade onion sauce and served it all over rice, and it made for an excellent (and simple) late-night, need-to-make-something-good-after-work meal. I'm 100% sure these would be amazing in a tomato-based sauce as well (on a sub or spaghetti or something).
Bonus is that there's 17g. of protein in three meatballs (I ate four). I will probably be buying these again once my bag is used up.
Awesome!

I tried this product and loved it. I was at a store and tried a different, cheaper brand that was so-so, Not worth saving the few cents. Get this brand, It won't let you down! I went back to this product and won't change again. The fennel in this is amazing. Great in Spaghetti , meatball subs or BBQ meatballs. So many options! My Carnivore friends love them.
Love These Meatballs!

Makes great spaghetti and meatballs! I’ve been buying them at Walmart but they’re out of them all the time, so glad to see Vegan Essentials sells them too. Here’s my recipe for EZ Spaghetti Sauce: Best to cook in a crock pot about 3 hours so all the flavors can cook together, or very low simmer on the stove top - one 14oz can of diced tomatoes, one 14oz can of tomato sauce, 9 meatballs, 1/4 cup onions, one slice American Cheese (and only one, the cheese cuts the acid from the tomatoes), 3/4 cup Morningstar or Boca Crumbles. Stir often. Cook til the onions are almost done. Enjoy.
delicious
From Richard Rankin of La Plata, Missouri on .
I didn't eat meatballs much pre-vegan, but discovered vegan meatball sandwiches, and love them. The Gardein meatballs are nicely spiced with fennel, etc sort of like a very mild Italian sausage. I just nuke them for a little bit in the microwave, and smash them into a sandwich. They make a great sandwich, and would, no doubt, also be great with spaghetti and tomato sauce. I'll definitely buy these again..
