This is 1 of my top frozen meals where I was looking for potentially healthier alternatives since I've been a vegetarian for about 5 years now...But I tend to eat a lot of foods that contain a lot of carbs and this 1 of them. Honestly, this is delicious, but it has a ton of carbs in it. Trust me where I've looked for low-carb vegetarian frozen meals, but I have yet to find them. Ex: LifeStyle Cuisine which is another good brand where they have low-carb lifestyle brands, but all those low-carb lifestyle meals contain meat. They do have vegetarian life-style meals and my fave. from that brand is their meatless meatball one, but once again, it's super high in carbs. For me personally, too many carbs and too much sugar combined together is actually making me gain a little weight. In terms of fat grams w/total fat & saturated fats, it's supposed to be like: 18g of total fat, but for saturated is supposed to be around 8g or less where that's healthy fat right there. But if it's 18g total fat & about 15g saturated fat = not healthy. Those fats aren't supposed to be that close in numbers.
High-quality convenience and not too many restaurants even offer this dish. A win-win!
Loved this! I would add additional rice to it next time but taste was excellent. A bit salty but with additional rice it would fix that and also make it go further. Excellent!
