This tastes nothing like pepperoni, to me at least. I don't think it tastes like salami either. It's definitely more sausage-y. Storing it at room temp weirds me out. I don't think I'll eat the whole thing. Not that impressed.

I thought I would try this and see if it was like salami I ate long ago. It wasn't - it was better! I had a recent bad experience with pepper and this salami was not "peppery" at all. Nice and mild! :) I have added it to vegan pizza and put chunks of it into roasted red pepper tomato soup - delicious! Crisps up in the oven on top of pizza so put it under the cheeze to keep it soft if you prefer. Would be great for a vegan charcuterie board with vegan cheezes and crackers...

The texture is perfect. Not rubbery at all; firm enough to slice it but very moist. The aroma was amazing, not an artificial or soy smell like some vegan meat. I loved the taste, not spicy but very flavorful. I would say it's perfect! The non vegan of the house wasn't as impressed as I was but he liked it with nothing negative to say about it.

As others have said, this sausage has great flavor and texture. You definitely know you're eating salami/pepperoni. It doesn't remind me of chorizo because I didn't find it spicy. But, I cut a small slice and enjoyed it with a sliver of Punk Rawk Nacho Cheese, which brought the heat. Good pairing.
