Amazing Crust
From Kerin Ann Gordon of Casa Grande, Arizona on .
Im a loyal fan to Tofurky but I also bought this as well. I kept it frozen and thawed it out about two hours and put it in the air fryer for 45 minutes. I just got the fryer so I just guessed at it. It came out perfect. Very flaky. My only complaint is there is barely any cranberry and I didnt find any hazelnuts. Its very heavy. Over the course of the afternoon and until 10pm I ate the entire roast, with my dogs helping. The cranberry filling was dry but that could be from the air fryer...idk. I will definately buy it again for christmas but I will put some vegan gravy over it....and definately not eat it all in one day. It's a very heavy meal and I dont want to know the calories I consumed. Five stars.
the best roast
From Anonymous of Columbus area, Ohio on .
This is the best vegan roast we've tried in all the decades we've been vegan.
I love all of the flavors and textures coming together in one roast. The crust is amazing.
Excellent!

I love this roast! I use it every year for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. The puff pastry is so flaky and delicious <3 The sausage is savory and goes very well with the filling. I like to pour Bisto Gravy over the top for a satisfying finish. Highly recommend!
Delicious
From Anonymous of Phoenix, Arizona on .
The dominant flavors are sage and ginger but they are balanced nicely and not overpowering. It is not too salty. The insides are like a ground turkey textured loaf wrapped up in a flaky pastry crust. I paired this with the Tofurkey holiday gravy and the two went well together. I also had cranberry sauce with it. There's not a lot of cranberries in the loaf itself, and the ones that are in there are a little bland. The number of servings says 8 but we found it to be more like 5-6 (we are big eaters though so your mileage may vary). I think a couple of veggie dishes with this would turn it into a full blown feast. Very good.
Great alternative to the tired tofurkyor quorn options.

Excellent alternative, easy to prepare, needs gravy, but way too high in fat and sodium.
delicious

This is delicious. the outer pastry is a little tricky to cut through, but the flavor is savory and satisfying. This roast is a million times tastier than gardein and tofurky. I smothered the slices in gravy and cranberry sauce, which made it perfect. Highly recommend.
Had it for christmas
From Vegangsta! of San Antonio, Texas on .
Made this for the first time on Christmas and I was worried I wouldn't like it cause I don't even like hazelnut or cranberries but damn they worked some magic with this cause it was DELICIOUS!! Now I have 3 products to choose from next holidays since this, the tofurkey and field roasts are all SO GOOD! Oh well I'll just buy all 3 :)
Meaty!

Had this for thanksgiving last night; it is SO worth the outrageous amount of money. It's meaty and flavorful, great texture. The only thing is that you need gravy because it gets dried out reeeally fast. The surface of whatever slice you have exposed to air will get seriously dry and pretty much inedible within 10 minutes. Also, the stuffing doesn't taste like hazelnuts but it's also not too sweet, which I liked. I was worried it would be like cranberry sauce in the middle but it's not. This will make a great sandwich on Saturday. Buy this! (and some gravy)
aholiday Tradition
From Layla Bowen of Bucyrus, Ohio on .
This has become a tradition for our holiday meals. I look forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas meals now that I have something to look forward to eating. Great flavor combination and super easy to fix. Just thaw and heat. My meat eating father tried it last year and asked if I fixed it again this year as he really liked it.
we'll have it again, and again
From Anonymous of Falls City, Oregon on .
This is really easy and very good, but it benefits from a gravy or sauce served to the side. We like a dijon mustard sauce with it, or a garlic aioli sauce. Great leftovers too.
if you like the field roast chipotle sausage...
From Anonymous of ann arbor, Michigan on .
...then you'll love this, because it tastes *exactly* the same. I could not taste any hint of cranberry or hazelnut in this roast. Unlike Tofurky, this doesn't come with a gravy packet, but it's pretty dry without, so you need to make your own, which isn't that hard, but considering that this roast is $5 more than Tofurky and required extra work, and didn't taste all that "festive," I don't think I would buy it again.

crave worthy

This is fantastic! My non vegetarian father even enjoyed it. So easy to prepare. The crust was flaky and the inside was moist and flavorful. It reheated well the next day.
Compares Favorably with Tofurky
From Marilyn Squier of Fiskdale, Massachusetts on .
I didn't think this roast tasted better than a Tofurky, but if you are sick of having Tofurky for every holiday meal (like I am), it's a satisfying alternative. The pastry crust on the outside is novel and delicious. The ginger on the inside is ... interesting. Has more of a sausage flavor. Would eat it again.
Wow!
