A Great Alternative to Crab!
From Mike Goodall of Orlando, Florida on .
These crab cakes are delicious, especially when paired with complementary ingredients. I love adding a homemade garlic-tahini-dill sauce or a sweet and spicy red pepper jelly. They're great with just a sauce and few small toppings, or sandwiched in a fluffy white bun with avocado, tomato, and vegan tartar sauce. They are very simple to cook, and have so much untapped potential!
Tasteless but not Totally Hopeless
From Meredith Meeks of Great Falls, Virginia on .
I bought these to try a healthier version of the Gardein crab cakes. Unfortunately, they were pretty bland. Honestly, they were not good tasting or smelling. I ended up turning them into crab cake sandwiches with vegan mayo + toppings and those tasted pretty good, but I will not repurchase.
Nice "lump" crab cakes
From WFT of Phoenix, Arizona on .
We made these one night and pretty much did everything wrong - burned them on one side, then hubby added too much water and they became soggy. We tried "ruined" dinner and it still managed to be tasty. (We added a squeeze of lemon.) The "lumps" reminded me of crab cakes long ago (I lived in MD). I can't wait to try them again and cook them right!
Loved Them
From Pat C of Rochester, New York on .
I honestly wasn't expecting much from these because I haven't liked any vegan seafood product I've tried in the past. However I was pleasantly surprised. I cooked them with a very small amount of oil in a non stick skillet. The outside came out browned and crisp and the inside was firm and had the characteristics of crab. The flavor was excellent and absolutely reminded me of what crab cakes tasted like. A real win. I'll be ordering these again.
Blah

I tried these, hoping for a remembered flavor from my youth. Instead I got a totally bland and disgusting textured food. Would not buy again if it were the only food on earth.
so-so
From Hayley Greenberg of Levittown, New York on .
They're ok but not great. 1) they have to be fried not baked, 2) since fried they should be amazing taste as adding all those calories, but 3) they're not-they're to soft in middle & a little bland.
Not bad but just so-so.
Love these!

My local store stopped selling these, and I loved Match meat alternatives enough to buy online! I'm a vegetarian (not vegan), can't believe these are meat and dairy free!
Excellent!

These were very, very good - they taste just like I remember crab cakes tasting. They fried up nice and crispy, too. I will definitely buy these again.
Terrific!
From Debby Jelley of New Durham, New Hampshire on .
When I make these, I mix up a horseradish or garlic sauce with veganaise, fry the crab cakes, heat some fries and serve vegan coleslaw as a side. One of our favorite meals! The crab cakes are dense and spicy (a little on the small side- but you can buy Match crab "meat" instead and make them yourself or take the easy way and heat and serve these). Terrific!
