Interesting But Highly Perishable

Opened bag and used a few pieces as soon as it arrived, for dinner on top of a salad. Sealed remainder in an airtight cannister in the fridge. 1 week later contents of bag was moldy. I don't know if that is normal but I wasn't impressed.
Like extra firm tofu, but soyfree

This bag of jackfruit is equivalent to about 3 cans of jackfruit. The cans contain water, and I hardly found any water in this product's bag. The pieces of jackfruit have no flavor (like tofu), and has the texture of extra firm tofu. The color of the jackfruit in the bag is a dark brown, while jackfruit in the can is ivory. I cooked the jackfruit with sauce in a pan and enjoyed in both tortillas an on bread. It has a nice chew -- even like baby bella mushrooms.
