Feta freak
From Col of KC, Missouri on .
I never was a big cheese person before going vegan, except for Feta cheese. I LOVED goat cheese feta, and this is the closest I have found to the real deal. I can eat it right out of the package, yep, it is that dang good.
Delicious!
From Anonymous of Ormond Beach, Florida on .
This does NOT taste like feta. It is far superior to that. This mimics the flavor of quality GOAT CHEESE to a tee. I can eat the whole package without coming up for air! Highly recommend.
Very good!
From Deborah Craft of Jackson, Michigan on .
This is the best vegan feta we have had! Love it. It's not crumbly, but the taste is very good.
Delicious
From Anonymous of New York, New York on .
It doesn’t have the crumbly texture of dairy feta but it’s delicious and and melt-in-your-mouth creamy. It slices beautifully and it also stays good in the fridge indefinitely even if it isn’t in a sealed container. It’s really good on crackers and in salads, especially beet and walnut salad.
Creamy Feta
From Maggie of Britton, Michigan on .
A person below says it is a coconut cream cheese. Okay, I don't mind cream cheese, I don't mind coconut. But I really don't like either all that much.
The first thing that went through my mind when I tasted it was: wait, is this goat or sheep cheese? There's a sheeps milk feta at Trader Joes that this reminds me of. I didn't taste coconut at all.
It is very creamy. Whereas feta is typically crumbly. The sheeps milk feta however tends to be on the creamier side.
Completely thankful that this was created. I don't have to give up my homemade spinach pie or greek salads.
Praise Zeus!
This cheese-substitute made my stomach turn
From Anonymous of Zurich, Switzerland on .
The flavor is mild, consistency a bit like more solid cream cheese, and there is a salty flavor that mimics Feta‘s flavor. However I wouldn‘t really call it a replacement, and rather its own type of coconut-cheese substitute.
So good I cried when I ate this!
From Anonymous of Chelmsford, Massachusetts on .
I have been unable to eat dairy for about 15 years. During that time I have been trying every dairy-free option I can find for cheeses, sour creams, yogurts, cream cheeses, and milks. I was skeptical - but figured I'd give it a try. I have to say - the flavor of this is so delicious that when I ate it, a tear came to my eye! It tastes a bit more like goat cheese to me than feta (just because of the texture, I think) but the taste is absolutely phenomenal. Creamy, cheesy, and with that same earthy flavor that I associate with feta. Please never stop making this - it's a permanent addition to my fridge!!
Not there yet
From Axel Lieber of Tokyo, Japan on .
Best vegan feta attempt I've so far encountered. It's not a total fail. It does have a noticeable feta-ish note. It's like tofu with a slight feta flavor. To be acceptable as a true feta replacement that note would have to be 10x stronger though.
Creamy

This is one of the better vegan cheeses I have tried! I think it's closer to goat cheese taste/texture than feta, nonetheless, I can't wait to cook with it. Thanks for making a great product!
Dairy Addict Approved
From Anonymous of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on .
I bought this on a whim and let me tell you, I'm obsessed. Expecting some chalky nonsense I ate a teeny tiny chunk at first and DAMN. I promptly called over my boyfriend to have him try it and we spent like 10 minutes saying shit like "I know, right??" and "You'd never know".
Bottom line, we LOVE cheese, and this is going to be in our fridge all the time.
Fantastic, but salt it at home!
From Leigh of Seattle, Washington on .
This cheese is delicious and has a firm, yet creamy consistency (not as firm as dairy feta but it's solid enough to slice). My only complaint is it's not salty like dairy feta, so I brine it in salted water and it really adds the extra punch it needs to be amazing!
Wow!
From Kasey of Wrightsville, Pennsylvania on .
Oh my gosh! I don't think I've ever loved a vegan cheese more in my life! This tastes just like the real deal! I am dairy free (unwillingly) but this is seriously the greatest tasting feta I've had. I can't get enough of it!
Just Like Feta Says It All
From Michael Spencer of Chicago, Illinois on .
This is utter perfection. All the delicious feta-ness without the cruelty. I buy this in bulk every time I can. And my non-vegan friends request my salads now (purely because I use Just Like Feta!
Not like the feta I'm used to, but still very pleasant!
From Anonymous of Spring, Texas on .
This is not like the tough, crumbly feta I always had when I ate dairy. This is creamy, like wonderfully creamy, with a slight... it reminds me of blue cheese or other people here are saying goat cheese. Usually I HATE that flavor, but in this with the mind-blowing creaminess is REALLY nice.
I think I'd use something else like very salty extra firm tofu if I wanted the feta texture for salads, but the next time I find a recipe for goat or blue cheese, I'll definitely be using this! It's super enjoyable.
Too coconuty
From Jessica Griffing of Land O Lakes, Florida on .
This cheese tasted a bit too much coconut for my taste and had a slimy texture. If you don't like coconut, I wouldn't recommend that you try this.
It really has a goat cheese taste!
From Lindsey Giddings of Richmond, Virginia on .
I don't know how they get that "goat cheese" taste in there, I'm impressed! It's definitely wetter than some feta I remember but it still crumbles beautifully! I can't wait to try this in different recipes.. I'm thinking it'd be tasty paired with jellies and nuts
Just like goat cheese feta!
From Anonymous of new york, New York on .
There are very few things I miss and could not replace when it came to being vegan and one of them was feta cheese. This blew my mind. The only downside is it seemed to go bad a bit quickly, but that is also somewhat my fault as I was trying to savor it and not devour the package upon opening it.
It was OK
From Anonymous of Coatesville, Pennsylvania on .
I was looking forward to trying this because feta was one of my favorite dairy cheeses. It's not that the one is bad necessarily, it just reminds me too much of the texture and flavor of dairy goat cheese, which I have always been turned off by. It became palatable when I added chopped Roma tomatoes, sliced red onion, sliced cucumber, Italian herbs, cider vinegar, lemon juice, Olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper. The texture is good for spreading on toast or crackers though.
Awesome

I was really impressed with this. I’m Middle Eastern and ate a lot of Feta in my life before going vegan. There are many types of Feta, and this resembles the creamier version. True, it is not like the crumble stuff you find in your normal grocery store but that stuff isn’t really traditional Feta either. The tang is there and I think it’s very tasty. It reminds me a bit of goat cheese also which I used to love as well.
Wow!
From Anonymous of Henderson, Nevada on .
I'm Eastern European and I know what authentic feta tastes like (which is nothing like the American versions). Let me tell you, this is exactly like the real/dead animal version (I don't like to call it "fake" food), but with a slight hint of coconut at the end. This works best in salads and paired with olives, you can't taste the coconut. I've baked it in spanakopita and it melts and practically disappears, so I recommend to just use tofu that has been marinated to taste like feta in baked foods. I've been searching for vegan feta for years and am highly impressed!
Mouth-watering
From Anonymous of Middlefield, Ohio on .
Could pass as a feta or a cream cheese, as it is more moist and doesn't dryly crumble. It doesn't make it into recipes: I eat it out of the package by the spoonful.
LOVE
From Anonymous of New York, New York on .
We love this feta! It's the best we've seen yet. We even fed it to an omnivore and they thought it was better (creamier) than real feta
Amazing!
From virginia kallianes of NY, New York on .
I am so excited to finally have a vegan feta option--thanks to Violife! I ordered the feta, but telling myself not to get my hopes up...when I received the product, I tasted a piece with trepidation...and it was very good! The consistency is different--does not 'crumble' like many dairy fetas--it is more solid, though soft, and creamy tasting, but not spreadable. But the taste is so close - thankfully not as salty, which is fine by me. I have eaten it plain (on a fork!), sliced on crackers, cubed in Greek-style tomato/cuke salad; I hope to try using in spinach pie! I have been recommending Violife feta widely! I'm in heaven!
not a thing like feta
From Anonymous of Seattle, Washington on .
I was very, very excited for this to finally reach my local vegan market. After trying it, my husband and I were both disappointed. It is nothing like feta at all - not in texture, composition, or, most importantly, taste. It doesn't resemble feta in any way. Here's how my husband put it: "As a vegan feta, it makes a great cream cheese." And he's right - it's very soft, exceedingly creamy, slightly tangy. It makes a great cream cheese substitute; it just doesn't make a good feta substitute at all. Alas.
Great!
From Diane Kurt of Kirkland, Washington on .
This is realllly good! Has wonderful flavor, and while the consistency doesn't quite lend itself to feta crumbles, it can be cut into diced pieces for addition to salads etc. I very much enjoy just snacking on this cheese with crackers, it's got such good flavor.
Meh
From Anonymous of Athens, Georgia on .
I had high hopes but this is just ok. It is very creamy - not even close to the crumbly texture of dairy feta. It also tastes a lot like the Violife blue cheese flavored cream cheese - once I tasted it, i couldn't untaste, if that makes sense. I think it is the olive juice that is in it. Admittedly, it may be better in a recipe and not just trying to eat it straight.
Excellent feta substitute
From Ali of White Plains, New York on .
It is creamier and less salty than "real" feta, but all the better for it. I cubed it and tossed it into a tomato and red onion salad with oil and vinegar. We ate it with fresh Italian bread and it tasted totally authentic...and delicious. My husband is very critical of vegan substitutes and even he loved it! Will be buying again!
finally, feta
From Richard Rankin of La Plata, Missouri on .
This is a bit creamier than I remember feta being, but the taste is pretty much spot on. One of the dishes I missed the most from pre-vegan days was shopska. And, now, I've eaten it for 4 days in a row, and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Can't wait to crumble this on a veggie pizza.
