Best Meat Substitute
From Isa of Atlanta, Georgia on .
This is by far the best meat substitute I have ever had. I’ve only had comparable substitutes in an Asian restaurant that makes them from scratch. I cook these in an air fryer, which leaves the outside crispy and the inside tender. I’m so glad that the ingredients are so healthy as well. Can’t recommend enough.
OVER COOKING IT.....
From Cathleen Thomas of Monson, Massachusetts on .
I use these on all our special occasions! However! The first time I had them I was not excited because I followed directions. I later cooked from frozen basted with vegan butter, garlic powder, salt and sage powder or Bells seasoning. I melt the butter and mix in the seasoning and baste both sides and cook it till it is crispy and brown on the outside which is much longer than required. It is usually about an hour or less on 350. I then take it out of the oven and let is rest for a good 10 to fifteen and then slice it into 1/2 inch slices much like a roast or something and serve on a platter.
No complaints
From Anonymous of Levittown, Pennsylvania on .
I use it for chicken salad and to add into a chicken Caesar salad and it amazing. Decent in a hot preparation, but I only ever use it for cold dishes. Texture is exactly like cooked chicken.
Great
From Nicole Pizarro of Carolina, Puerto Rico on .
Agree that this is the best substitute meat product in the market today. I cooked it like I would a chicken breast and seasoned it the same. Best when you crisp it on the outside at high heat, careful not to burn, also needs to be left about 15 minutes with the top on for best result in low/medium heat.
Not a fan..
From Cassidy Dolby of Salisbury, Maryland on .
Had high hopes for these! Kind of flavorless and gelatinous when cooked. Cooked it a bunch of different ways (frying, breading then frying, baking, etc.) but none of them were tasty at all. I'll stick with making my own seitan chicken breasts.
