The jackfruit comes sliced in chunks and looks similar to quartered artichoke hearts. Once cooked, they can fall apart and become shreds. I’ve been looking for non-soy meat alternatives lately, and this is wonderful! Pretty closely resembles the texture and taste of pork, especially with barbecue sauce. I’m looking for somewhere to bulk order this from.

This is the only organic jackfruit on the market. It is much more mild tasting than the other brands which tend to taste like fruit/sour. Just wish there was bulk sizes available.
