chewy texture and filling

Made as instructed on back, but omitted onions and sauteed the fresh mushrooms until golden before adding the water and mix. The sunflower hache is chewy and textured like TVP with a mild taste that did not taste or look like sunflower seeds. Served mine over unsalted mashed potatoes and with bread, as the stew has enough salt to carry the meal, and it really could be stretched that way to feed four. It is more filling than it looks.
Mushroom goodness

I absolutely love this mushroom stew! The finished product has the aroma of breakfast sausage (the spice profile). I added diced, cooked potatoes to the end of the cooking process (the whole dish basically is sauteeing the onions and mushrooms and then adding the spices and hache and letting it boil and simmer a bit -- so quick and easy). You can add some vegan cream at the end, such as unsweetened Nutpod cream if you want to, but it was tasty as is. My only addition besides the diced potato was some chili flakes for heat. Low calorie, low fat, and low sugar. Great product!
