I tried the green bamboo rice version of this. If you are a fan of the Explore Asian bean non-gluten pastas, or bamboo rice, you'll like these. I liked it enough to buy a full case of it to keep for last minute meals.Unlike the infamous 25 cent ramen that college students supposedly live off of, this stuff is lighter, and way less salty. The noodles cook in even less than the 4 minutes the packet promises. The flavor pouch is pretty bland, but has some miso and dried seaweed in it. By adding some chopped veg and tofu/tempeh/whatever to the water with the noodles, you can make a pretty tasty meal in 4 minutes. For real. If you have miso and some good soy/tamari on hand, you might like using that more than the provided flavor pack. But, in the time it takes to make a PB&J, you can have a proper, balanced meal using these ramen packs. The VE listing says these have a vanilla flavor, but I don't think so. These taste exactly like green bamboo rice.
