just want the pocket sandwich
From Karen of Aurora, Illinois on .
I really LOVE Amy's tofu pocket in a sandwich! Can't find it anywhere anymore. Whole Foods used to have it. I'm not gluten free so I'm not actually rating this one, Just hoping for the tofu pocket in a sandwich to be available! ;-)
Wonderful!

Love the hash browns in them. The wrapper is unique, almost textured like a thin injera.
Not bad! very yummy with Cholula
From Anonymous of Chicago, Illinois on .
I eat burritos ALL THE TIME and wanted to say if someone was trying to transition to healthier meals, this isn't bad! It's really convenient and tastes AMAZING with hot sauce (Cholula is the best) but that's just my opinion. Have a great day!
Balanced flavor, but don't expect a flour tortilla wrap
From Dave Stewart of Los Angeles, California on .
Reading the other reviews, seems rather subjective. Coming from a bacon & eggs breakfast background prior to going vegan due to health issues, I felt this wrap was a great transition. The tofu is very scrambled egg in consistency without the typical "incorrect fake" tofu that usually turns off meat eaters and new vegans alike. Perhaps the other reviewers are used to flavor that has to hit you over the head with strong spices. Saying this product is bland is like saying eggs and bacon are bland. Personally, if this product is too bland for you, topping this wrap with your favorite salsa would complement this product quite well. Since when is 460 mg of sodium too much? Hell a can of soup is 1280 mg. Yet this wrap is plenty salty unless you're one of those who automatically throw salt on everything without tasting first. My question is, what else are you eating throughout the day that makes one review this wrap is high in sodium?? Okay, the wrap itself: it's does sort of resembles a thick crepe rather than a wheatie whole grain tortilla wrap. Most likely due to it's gluten-free recipe. Look you can only do so much with gluten substitutes. But I wasn't put off by its texture or taste. To be honest, I eat this wrap almost every day. Oatmeal is fine, but sometimes I love the convenience of a breakfast wrap. Tomatoes taste fresh as well as the spinach or bok choi (not sure since it's chopped up so fine.) If the gluten-free wrap bugs you coming the wrap in the oven lessens that aspect. Makes the wrap a bIt more crispy and a little easier to hold. Microwaving can sometimes split the wrap, lest portable. Oven method is worth the 40 minutes. I hate cooking, I'm horrible with finding convienient recipe's. So this breakfast wrap, as well as many of the other Amy's Kitchen frozen, or canned goods, is a satisfying solution to transitioning from a meat driven processed food convenience and into the whole food, plant based lifestyle. Less processing the better, but at least these products fill those gaps when you want something healthier than some Lean Cuisine or Eat Right product (all which contain some form of animal based product.) So yeah, subjective I guess. Don't feel like these are bland at all. Don't feel the sodium content is too high. Going Vegan is all about change and adaptation so the gluten-free wrap doesn't bug me. Bottom line it's all about making a healthy change. Amy's Kitchen helps the vegan novice see that this dietary change is not necessarily a flavorless journey.
Not worth it to me
From Anonymous of NY, New York on .
I did not purchase these through Vegan Essentials but wanted to submit a review for the product. I have been a fan of Amy's line for almost 20 years. Across the board, I've never had anything I didn't love from them. These were on "clearance" so I bought 2 since their products are always great but expensive so I only buy when on sale. I was not a fan of these. I don't know if it's the gluten-free wrap but it tasted more like an egg roll. Not breakfast-y at all. To boot, it's high in sodium as well as carbs. Considering all that plus the price I would never re-purchase, even on clearance. I'm not vegan anymore & am not GF so maybe you will enjoy it if you are..but I regularly incorporate the 2 into my diet.
