Liked This More Than I Thought I Would!
From Kate of Los Angeles, California on 12/18/2016.
I tried this as an experiment, along with Annie's vegan mac, and a few others. Earth Balance still wins for taste, but this isn't far behind. I didn't have high expectations for taste, as I'd tried this because of it's high protein content, but this vegan mac & cheese certainly exceeded them! I plan to buy again. By the way, just to save you from the unpleasant experience, Annie's is the worst I've tried, followed, surprisingly, by So Delicious' version.

This cheese was just really gross in my opinion
From Jennifer Esposito of Woodstock Valley, Connecticut on 10/30/2015.
So I've been on a quest to find the best vegan mac & cheese for about a year. (For me it also has to be gluten free.) This one I liked a lot, the appearance and prep is very similar to the 'K' brand. Noodles cooked up well, held their shape during mixing, and taste/texture were comparable to 'regular' pasta. Sauce tasted more like real cheese and not like nutritional yeast which was a nice change. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because once its prepared there isn't a whole lot there...If that's all I'm eating I can eat it in one sitting! Its tasty and I plan on buying more.
Gluten-free texture woes
From Sharon Hess of Vail, Arizona on 7/22/2015.
This definitely has a gluten-free texture, which was very different from typical macaroni...and not in a good way...chewy. Also, I haven't found a vegan macaroni and cheese yet where I truly liked the cheese sauce, and this was no exception. I would not order this product again. It was kind of torturous to eat.
The gluten-free Earth Balance alternative
From jlo5616 of Private, New York on 6/11/2015.
This boxed dinner is almost identical in flavor to the Earth Balance boxed dinners, but with gluten-free pasta. My boyfriend (who is not gluten-free) actually said this one tastes slightly more like real mac & cheese than the Earth Balance ones. The pasta is thicker and being rice pasta it's starchy so I personally recommend really rinsing it before mixing it with the sauce. It's also, like the Earth Balance dinners, very salty so I recommend halving the butter substitute. But a very good, quick & easy dinner idea!
