Pretty Good
From Melissa Elder of Marysville, Pennsylvania on .
Would recommend using for wrap or bagel/sandwich, not as much for sushi. The consistency and taste do better when accompanied by other flavors. But it is a fairly believable smoked salmon substitute when used with other ingredients. I've gotten this more than once now.
Ham
From Anonymous of Houston, Texas on .
Tastes like ham but I put it an sushi roll with loving hut shrimp and it tasted really good that way (loving hut shrimp took center stage though) I’m going to try cooking this like bacon as some one mentioned below. Will buy again to experiment more with
Not Even Close to Salmon
From Kylie Fletcher of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on .
I bought this because it's a pain to make carrot lox but this wasn't very good at all. I expected that this would at least have a smokey flavor but it tastes like nothing and has a weird crunchy, yet bouncy ball-like texture way different than the konjac noodles I've had. Honestly just take the time to make carrot lox, it's way better and cheaper
Weird
From Anonymous of Jax, Florida on .
It really does mimic bacon more than any bacon substitute I've ever tried. I'm not sure how it sells as a salmon substitute. I used to eat all types of salmon and I don't think this would fool any one who has actually eaten a piece of salmon. It doesn't taste bad. But it's definitely not what I was expecting.
Soooo good!!
From Amy Zimmerman of Englishtown, New Jersey on .
After growing up on lox and smoked salmon, I was sooo excited to find a vegan alternative!!! At first, the texture bothered me, but I got used to it. The flavor is perfect!!! I can't get enough of this stuff!!!
