Not scallops, but tasty
From Richard of La Plata, Missouri on 7/6/2012.
I had no idea what this might be. I opened it to see grey blobs of brined seitan. But I tried one out of the can and loved it. Ate another, then another... Pan-fried a few and loved it more. It has NOTHING to do with scallops except the shape, but these are excellent versions of mini-seitan nuggets for lots of uses. I'm thinking you could use kelp powder to make them scallop-like, but, really, these are delicious nuggets of faux meat for whatever you want to use them for. I can't wait to eat them for breakfast with ginger basmati rice, corn, beans and a little chile.
Scary at first, but cooked well these are yummy!

When we first opened them we were scared, and the additives are sketchy.....but you can make these into deliciousness! Heres a recipe we used:http://veganderbygirl.blogspot.com/2011/09/vegan-scallops-say-what.html
Love these canned "meat" products!

I brought my leftovers to work and my coworkers said they tasted like sausage.. so it just depends how you season / marinade / prepare it. I prepared it 3 diff ways and they were fantastic all 3 ways. I LOVE cerdar lake and vibrant life food. And veganessentials <3
Would prefer without the chemical food additives

Would prefer without the chemical food additives -- all such additives have been tested on animals in the past to determine safety.
